Wedding band Bristol

The Zoots band at Clevedon Hall

“Thanks again for playing at our wedding last Friday, it was amazing!!  Tons of people commented on how much they enjoyed the music (and amazing variety in the setlist as well)…”

Steph and Laurence got in touch in May 2016 to see if The Zoots would be available to perform for them at their wedding.

We first met Laurence when they arranged to come and see us perform at 1960‘s festival in Weston in 2016. They were by far the youngest people in the audience,  so we recognised them straight away. It was great to meet them, and we’re so pleased our show gave them a flavour for what we could do. They liked it so much, they decided they would like to book The Zoots to be their band for their wedding. Fast forward a few months and we were proud to be performing for the lovely couple on their special day. Continue reading

Saturday the 18th of June is bright and lovely and wonderful.

We’re off to Fernhill Farm, to perform for the every gorgeous Liz & Ian. Fernhill Farm is a holistic, eco farm situated on the top of Mendip Hills. They believe in being as self sufficient as they can, with home grown resources, water harvesting and recycling and making their own woollen products. We’d met with Jen from Fernhill Farm by chance when we were performing at The Bath and West Show a few weeks ago. Jen and the team had a stall at the show, showcasing their wonderful woollen products, and showing you how to make your own! We loved everything about Fernhill Farm and their ethos, and we just knew this place was going to be special.

The Zoots, The Zoots in Italy, The leaning Tower of Pisa, Pisa in June, Band in Pisa, The Zoots visit Pisa, Photo of leaning Tower of Pisa in the sun

Today it’s Tuesday. It’s 6am and Zoots HQ is a hive of activity. Last minute packing, quick cups of teas, early morning showers and the packing of the Zootmobile, are all happening on this early May Tuesday. The grass is dewy and spirits are high. We’re looking forward to the day ahead.

Only this Saturday we performed for Emily & Jack on their wedding day, and the weekend before we had a blast performing for those dancing Queens in Little Hadham at the charity bash in aid of NeST. Needless to say it’s been a busy few weeks of performances.

The early start this Tuesday morning was down to performing on our very first Royal Caribbean cruise of the season. We we’re getting ready to catch a flight to Pisa to meet the Allure of The Seas, THE BIGGEST CRUISE SHIP IN THE OCEAN! We were joining the ship to perform with our pretty popular 1960s show, more about that later. Now, we’re Gatwick bound, brushing up on our Italian in preparation for our night in Pisa.  Continue reading

Marden MMarden Manor, Wedding venue Wiltshire, Venue in Wiltshireanor, Wedding venue Wiltshire,

I just love April. The rapeseed is out in full bloom and colours the landscape a glowing yellow. Birds are reappearing and flowers pop up in the garden. I love the smell of freshly cut grass and I get all excited about the thought of summer! I love being out in the countryside at this time of year. We’re fortunate as we get to see ahhhh-lot of the country (and indeed the world) on our travels. It’s a wonderful time to get married. Wiltshire is where we begin our journey as we travel the short distance to Marden Manor for the wedding of Charles and Sophie.

The Zoots band, The Zoots perform at Cat & Phil's wedding in Leicester, The Grand Hotel Leicester, The Zoots, The Zoots Band, Band for my wedding, Band for Hire, Band for my Party, Band in Wiltshire, Band in the South West, Awesome Party Band, 60s band, Cool wedding band, Wedding music, Music for my wedding,

Maybe it’s the shorter days, the slight drop in temperature, or the fact that we are so so busy which is making the days fly by. Was is really a week ago we were performing for Victoria & Piers at their wedding at Priston Mill in Bath? Aye it was. *wipes forehead and exhales*. What a night that was. Read the blog about it here.

Today we’re headed to Leicester. We’re performing for a very lovely couple, Catherine & Phil. Let’s flash back for a minute. It’s Saturday. I’m pretty sure it’s November or maybe it’s December 2013. We’re at gig. It’s a 60’s themed night. The room is packed. And I mean packed. I think the ceiling is sweating. It’s so 60’s, we could actually be in the 196o’s. Somewhere under the the bopping bodies there is a dance floor and perhaps a carpet of sorts, but I can no longer see it. People are dancing dancing dancing. In the crowd around are Cat & Phil and they are loving it loving it loving it. They smile at us. We smile back. They like us. We like them. They say hello. We wipe the sweat from our brows and say hello back. They would like to book us for their wedding next year. We are happy. Continue reading
