I was lucky enough to grow up in the town of Maidenhead in Berkshire and ever since Norden Farm, Centre for the Arts was built in 2000, I have always wanted to play there. It was so close when I lived in Maidenhead, I used to walk to the venue and watch some of the live music events there. When I formed The Zoots, I hoped we’d, one day, perform at Norden Farm, and today was that day, The Zoots were finally playing at the venue a stone’s throw away from where the band was formed.
We were so excited to be heading to Lyme regis today. Our first show back in the UK since our trip to Spain to perform on the Independence of The Seas last week.
The 122 year old Marine Theatre hasn’t always been a theatre. The site has been many things to many people for many years. Bazaars, elections, dinners, Victorian holiday visitors stepping out of hot sea baths, fossil displays, public meetings, music, theatre, dance… a babble of people and scenes make up the atmosphere of this rare and charismatic venue. Needless to say, we were looking forward to performing! Continue reading
We LOVE performing at the Alhambra Theater, a HUGE stage, an awesome PA, soooo many wicked lights, 2000 seats over 2 tiers and an awesome crew to work with!Jacko, Stage Manager, Gerry on sound, Mike on lights and Greg backstage are just brilliant. We opened the show with our new animated introduction which shows The Zoots coming from home to the stage. We have adding so many things to the show and we were really looking forward to showing them off.
As a band we get to travel around alot and we get to see some lovely places, recently we’ve been to Kusadasi, La Coruna, Split, Lisbon and The Azores. It is a brilliant journey and we are having a great time, we just need to remember to tell everyone about it! Continue reading

We’ve just (last week, sorry we’ve been busy) returned from Barcelona, but out story today begins in Montenegro, where we headed a few Mondays ago. Kotor to be precise. Well hello lovely Internet viewer, are you having a good day? Is it cold where you are? It’s pretty nippy here, I have on 3 sweaters.
Have you done everything you need to? We haven’t. Our to do lists are as long as our arms, and then some. But it’s all great, we love being busy (srsly). Continue reading
Wow. It’s autumn already. You may have noticed we’ve been a bit quiet on the blogging front, our bad. We’ve been so busy. Like really so busy. We’ve not even had chance to tell you about some of the awesome things The Zoots have been doing. We’ve not filled you in on the pretty spectacular and very colourful wedding of Tara & Vig at the stunning Boreham House, back in August (was it really August?!). Nor have we had a minute to stop and mention just how fantastic Laura & Andy’s wedding at Walton Castle was (we played in a turret!!) and we’ve just not sat down to really soak up how much we enjoyed performing for Emma & Lee at their beautiful wedding at the Moonraker in Wiltshire. We’ve had a fantastic few weeks and The Zoots have travelled to some beautiful places: Rome, Pisa, Naples, Athens, Venice, Kotor, Vienna and Santorini. We have spent a long time in planes airports and taxis, some journeys more dangerous than others. We have survived a few testing times including a petrol shortage and a lorry strike in Naples and our lost luggage in Santorini. We’ve had few near misses with including the riots in Athens which we missed by a few hours.
