Band in Windsor
Last Monday The Zoots were given the opportunity to perform at a fund raising event for Clic Sargeant at Windsor Races. in attendance were TV presenter Jake Humpries who hosted the event, Formula One boss Eddie Jordan and Mc Fly drummer Harry Judd. We sat on a table with Veronica Stanwell and dancer Maxime Prince as well as auctioneer Charlie Ross. The band in Windsor!
CLIC Sargent is the UK’s leading cancer charity for children, young people and their families. They have been providing specialist support across the UK since 2005. CLIC Sargent care teams will fight tirelessly to limit the damage cancer causes. They will listen, and ask the right questions, so that they can provide the right support, tailored to each young person and family.
The Zoots drummer Simon Small was involved in some music workshops for the charity who asked if Simon could The Zoots would be able to perform. Music Ordinator (Phil Day) is a friend and former manager of Simon’s old band John Amour Blues Group asked if The Zoots would be able to help out.
The Zoots were honoured to perform and were even happier to be performing with Veronica Stanwell, a singer / actress who is currently starring as Elsa in Disneyland Paris. Veronica was part of the ‘CLIC SARGENT UK ‘ tour for performers that had experienced cancer at a young age.

With some fantastic auctioneering skills from Charlie Ross and some very generous donations, the event managed to raise £290,000 for the Clic Sargent Charity. Harriet and Jamie gave their time, provided all the kit, transport and made all the arrangements for the band as a donation to the charity.
“Thanks again for playing at Windsor Racecourse for The Clic Sargent Ball. You did a great job. And helped to raise £290,000! Good work.
