60s tribute band Dorset
We were so excited to be heading to Lyme regis today as 60s tribute band Dorset.
Our first show back in the UK since our trip to Spain to perform on the Independence of The Seas last week.
The 122 year old Marine Theatre hasn’t always been a theatre. The site has been many things to many people for many years. Bazaars, elections, dinners, Victorian holiday visitors stepping out of hot sea baths, fossil displays, public meetings, music, theatre, dance… a babble of people and scenes make up the atmosphere of this rare and charismatic venue. Needless to say, we were looking forward to performing! We set off early on Friday morning so that we could have plenty of time to set up on the day. The journey was pleasant, with only a little bit of rain! We arrived at Lyme Regis, it was such a beautiful seaside town! The theatre was very easy to find, we parked up and began to load our equipment out. The view was amazing, right on the seaside.
When we arrived, we met with Steve and Ali from the Marine Theatre. Steve showed us to our dressing room where a lovely surprise was waiting for us. Thank you! We were made up! We did have trouble finding Harriet though, watch the video.
Set up and soundcheck went really well. We spent a long time making sure we had the sound right for the room.
Here’s a little video of our set up and of the rainbow we spotted before we went on!

We were ready!
The show went brilliantly and the crowd loved it! We included so many songs from our repertoire. Here is a highlights video from the first show.
Bass player Tommy sang ‘Mony, Mony‘ which we all really enjoyed playing. Drummer Simon sang ‘By With a Little Help from My Friends‘. Here is a highlights video from the second half.
It was such a great night, and such an amazing atmosphere. We met lots of guests following on the way out, who had, had such a good time.
We had some photos taken after the show. My Mum and Dad came along with Lizzie which was really lovely!
