Last night we had at wonderful time at The Marriott Hotel, performing for The Rotary Club at their annual dinner dance. Read all about it here. Today were up early to head to Essex, The Reid Rooms, where were performing for Claire & Neil for their wedding day.
The 2nd of July 2016 is a beautiful summers day. We enjoy the drive over from Wiltshire. We arrive at The Reid Rooms and it’s just perfect, there’s even a rainbow in the sky.
The room we were playing in was ideal, as it it contained the bar, had loads of power sockets, lots of space for us to work with and a really simple load in! We were happy. It’s been so beautifully decorated. We met some of the wedding guests here too, everyone was in really good spirits.
Here we are getting set up. We’re loving our new Zoots drum skin.
After a quick warm up, some veggie chilli and ah-mazing banana cake from lovely our next door neighbour Penny, we got changed.
Here is a video of us going through the harmonies for Long Train running.
Simon & Tommy were ready and excited for the performance.
Set 1 was awesome. Claire & Neil had ‘I’m Yours‘ by Jason Mraz for their first dance. Lead Guitarist Ben, sang it beautifully.
Then we launched into our first set, had a quick break in between before set two. It was crazy brilliant. I enjoyed looking back on some of the live photos we took.
Here’s a little video from the evening:
Thank you so much to Claire & Neil for having The Zoots as their band for the evening. We had the best time! Thank you too to Mark for recommending us to them (he spotted us at the NeST charity event in May last year). And thank you to the team at The Reid Rooms for being so brilliant and lovely.
