Welcome July! We’ve been waiting for you! Sunshine, BBQ’s and sangria, well not quite, but at least its a bit warmer. Today it’s Friday, and we’re pleased as we’re back in the UK after coming back from Turkey on Wednesday. We had an excellent show in the Coral Theater, onboard the Jewel of The Seas, you can read all about it here. Continue reading
We love the weekend! We’re usually off somewhere amazing, meeting and playing for some wonderful people. Last weekend we had a total blast playing got Liz & Ian at their wedding at Fernhill Farm. And this weekend is no different; we’re heading to Oxfordshire to perform for Alice & Brett at the Crazy Bear in Stadhampton. Continue reading
It’s been a beautiful week of glorious, and some what humid weather, but we’ve been enjoying it. It’s been a busy week at HQ, we’ve had lots of enquiries for bookings for 2017 (and even 2018) which is just brilliant! Today, we’re off to a lovely place, called Hook, in Hampshire. We’re heading to The Frog & Wicket in Hook to perform at their annual cricket day, taking place on England’s oldest functioning cricket pitch. Continue reading
We love Easter. We love the eggs, we love the fact that it’s spring, we love the time with family. And we especially love it this weekend as we have some very exciting gigs. On Friday we were at the Beacon Theatre in Wantage with out SOLD OUT public show. It went down brilliantly, you can read all about it here.
And today, on Easter Sunday, we’re headed to the Northbrook Park for the wedding of Bex & Jay. We’d been recommended to them by the Kolesars, after they booked us for Steph and Tim’s wedding in Henley in 2014! Continue reading
Sid and I met when we were both around ten months old, at that time, little did I know he would end up be the best friend I could ask for. Growing up in Maidenhead, we journeyed through school life together, making memories and creating mischief. We were each others houses nearly everyday until we were ‘grown ups’ and left home. We’ve been on holidays together, he was an usher and my wedding and Sid has been a guest vocalist in the band with us more times than I can remember. Sid is like a brother to me, so his wedding to Amanda was pretty much as special as weddings get.
Today it’s Monday and the sun is shining and we are happy Zoots. The frosty evening yesterday led to these clear skies and bright sunshine. Today we’re off to Cambridgeshire to perform for Sian & Kevin on their wedding day at the, I think you’ll agree, very beautiful Bassmead Manor Barns.
Sian & Kevin had spotted us when we performed at Lisa & Niall’s wedding way way way back in 2014. It was such a super wedding, I loved how wonderful the room had been decked out, and I just loved the setting. I think one of my favourite things, was the paper maché giraffe (check out the blog). It’s always so wonderful being booked off the back of another performance. Such a great compliment! And it means we get to see some familiar faces again too! We were really looking forward to seeing Lisa and Niall again at Sian and Kevin’s wedding. Continue reading
Well hello lovely Internet viewer, are you having a good day? Is it cold where you are? It’s pretty nippy here, I have on 3 sweaters.
Have you done everything you need to? We haven’t. Our to do lists are as long as our arms, and then some. But it’s all great, we love being busy (srsly). Continue reading
Wow. It’s autumn already. You may have noticed we’ve been a bit quiet on the blogging front, our bad. We’ve been so busy. Like really so busy. We’ve not even had chance to tell you about some of the awesome things The Zoots have been doing. We’ve not filled you in on the pretty spectacular and very colourful wedding of Tara & Vig at the stunning Boreham House, back in August (was it really August?!). Nor have we had a minute to stop and mention just how fantastic Laura & Andy’s wedding at Walton Castle was (we played in a turret!!) and we’ve just not sat down to really soak up how much we enjoyed performing for Emma & Lee at their beautiful wedding at the Moonraker in Wiltshire. Continue reading
It’s Thursday today isn’t it? Or perhaps it’s not. We’ve been so busy performing overseas and ship hopping with Royal Caribbean’s fleet of pretty impressive ships, that we’re not sure where we are or quite what day it is. We’ve gotten used to falling asleep in one country and waking up in another. We’ve become accustomed to the ever changing view from outside our window. And we’ve become very fond of having shorts, t-shirts and summer hats making up our ‘every day wear’ as we travel from Greece, to Italy to France to Spain. We’ve got a little too familiar of the feeling of sand beneath our toes as we relax after a show on a beach in whichever country we happen to arrive in that day. And we’ve become all so used to the roar of 1,500 guests as they shout for an encore following our sixties show.
This week has been amazing. We’ve had storms, we’ve had sunshine and we’ve had rain! We’ve had amazing sunsets, incredible views and some truly marvellous days. We’ve had a busy week here at Zoots HQ. We’ve been making our arrangements for next week for WHEN WE GO TO GREECE! And for the week after that WHEN WE GO TO ITALY. It is going to be amazing and hot and glorious and lovely. *packs cossie*. We’re heading overseas to perform with our 1960s show, it’s still us, but we dress more ‘sixties’ and perform load of awesome hit from the 1960s, it really was one of the best times for music.
We’ve also had loadsa enquiries for this week and next, some of them even for 2017! Crikey, you guys are PLANNERS. We like. We posted our blog about our performance at The Potato Sheds in Kimbolton, what a night that was. And we finally got to see the incredible photos and complete our blog for our 1960s show at June Cadman’s 70th birthday party, that lady sure knows how to throw a party. Continue reading
