The Zoots perform at Birds Hill Golf Club

Christine first came to see the band with my Uncle Robert in 2010 on their first date at The Coppid Beech Hotel in Bracknell. After a happy first date and a further five years together with my ‘Uncle Rob’, he sadly passed away in 2015 with cancer. Uncle Rob was an amazing man and we all miss him so much. Despite my Uncle’s passing, Christine has remained part of the family and been a huge support. Along with her family and friends she has continued to follow the band and has been to shows of ours all around the country. She has been a huge support for the band, driving for hours to see us and ALWAYS telling everyone how fantastic we are.  Last September we performed at my cousins (Ben and Vicki’s) wedding which was a huge honour. Read the Blog here. We were equally honoured to be performing for Christine’s 60th at Bird’s Hill Golf Club and had booked in about 2 years in advance! With so many people we knew in the audience we were under pressure to put on a fabulous performance! There would also be some of our biggest ‘fans’ in attendance!

WEDdING AT FOXHILLS, wedding at golf club, band for foxhills, wedding surrey, band

Foxhills Golf Club and Hotel Resort is located in OttershawSurrey with very close links to London and the club was officially founded in 1975. It has a rich history since the Middle Ages it was owned by Chertsey Abbey and the land became part of the Botleys Park estate towards the end of the 17th century. The mercurial politician Charles James Fox came to live in the area in the 1780s with his mistress. Fox sought to restore his body and spirit in the peace of his country estate and company of his neighbour and friend Sir Joseph Mawbey at Botley Park. This was the venue chosen by Rachael and Adrian for their wedding and we were honoured to be chosen as their wedding band for the big day.

The Zoots were honoured to be performing at The Boundary Festival in Didcot on Saturday 15th July. We had been booked by our good friend Gemma who booked us for our first show at The Beacon in 2015! Remember that! We had put together a ‘BEST OF BRITISH’ show which included lots of the best British music from the last 60 years, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Oasis, Blur, David Bowie, The Kinks and The Small Faces.
Wedding venue worcester, band in worcester

The Zoots were looking forward to performing at Spetchley Gardens in Worcester for the wedding of Cat and Rob. The lovely couple had seen us perform at Elkstone Manor for Victoria and Doyle’s wedding in 2015. They even fitted the booking of the venue around when we were available, what an honour!
After a short journey up the M5 and a quick stop,  we soon arrived at Spetchley in Worcester. As we drove up through the grounds and up to the venue, we were in awe of the views. It was a lovely warm day perfect for a wedding!

Colin and Jane first saw the band perform in 2012 performing at St Georges Hotel in Chatham, Colin was looking for a band for his 50th birthday party so we had a chat and booked The Zoots. We performed at Colin’s fantastic party in Gillingham in 2013 and Colin gave us a glowing testimonial. We have stayed in touch ever since! We’ve also performed for Colin’s friends Nikki and Simon in 2016, read the blog here.

For the last six years The Zoots have been travelling all over the world which makes time in the UK more precious. It has been wonderful to share special times with special people and we feel like Colin and Jane are part of family and part of our journey, so we jumped at the chance when they asked us to perform for their wedding anniversary this year.

60s tribute show, sixties tribut band, the zoots, sounds of the sixties show, norden farm, band in berkshire

I was lucky enough to grow up in the town of Maidenhead in Berkshire and ever since Norden Farm, Centre for the Arts was built in 2000, I have always wanted to play there. It was so close when I lived in Maidenhead, I used to walk to the venue and watch some of the live music events there. When I formed The Zoots, I hoped we’d, one day, perform at Norden Farm, and today was that day, The Zoots were finally playing at the venue a stone’s throw away from where the band was formed.

Marine Theatre, Lyme Regis, The Zoots, Zoots band, Sixties Show, Band in Wiltshire, Band in Lyme Regis, Awesome Band, Band in Bath, Band in Oxford, Band in Hampshire, Band in Bristol, Wedding band, Wiltshire wedding band

We were so excited to be heading to Lyme regis today. Our first show back in the UK since our trip to Spain to perform on the Independence of The Seas last week.

The 122 year old Marine Theatre hasn’t always been a theatre. The site has been many things to many people for many years. Bazaars, elections, dinners, Victorian holiday visitors stepping out of hot sea baths, fossil displays, public meetings, music, theatre, dance… a babble of people and scenes make up the atmosphere of this rare and charismatic venue. Needless to say, we were looking forward to performing!  Continue reading

HURRAH IT’S SATURDAY THE 20TH OF MAY! Eeee.

Rachel and Chris were getting married at Lains Barn in Wantage so it was a fairly short drive from Zoots HQ to the Barn. Rachel had spotted us at her hen do at The Beacon, Wantage last year. (remember that? What an awesome show that was!). We were just so pleased that Rachel enjoyed the show so much that she decided to book The Zoots to perform on their wedding day.
