We were delighted to performing at Lakeside Holiday Village on Hayling Island, after a long week travelling and nearly 24 hours in the van, we were pleased not be going to far from home (Only two hours away!). It was our second show at Lakeside since performing back in 2016.It was going to be a special show as tonight my Auntie Doreen and Auntie June were going to be in the audience. They missed our show at Norden Farm so they booked a holiday break at Warners Lakeside just to see us play. We had better be good!
Stamford Corn Exchange will always be a very special place to us as it’s one of the first UK theatres we performed back in 2014. Stamford Corn Exchange first contacted us to perform a Christmas show and we have played their every year since including two Halloween shows. This time however would be our first time performing our Sounds of the 60s show in Stamford and we were really looking forward to it.
After a rehearsal early last September, I was chatting with Tommy’s lovely Aunt (Deb) who had just come back from a weekend at Twinwood Festival. Deb told me to contact the organisers at Twinwood as it would be an ideal place for The Zoots to play.
After a couple of phone calls; we had the organisers of Twinwood interested and they sent one of the team to see us perform at Goodwood Revival the following week. We put on a fab show at Goodwood and the next day we had an offer from Twinwood to headline the last day of the festival in 2017. Continue reading
We first met Adam and Samantha’s on a cruise ship way back in 2015! After an amazing Zoots show, we spoke with the newly engaged couple and were delighted that they would like The Zoots to perform for them on their big day in Lancashire at Beeston Manor. Two years later after some very careful planning we took the trip up the M5 and M6 we arrived in Lancashire for the big day!
We had been working very hard to get our ‘Sounds of the 70s’ show ready following our one hour show at Blackpool Tower Ballroom in April for Blackpool Rox. This was to be our new 90 minute show and there were lots of new song additions to the show including our new costumes. Luckily for us photographer Graham Huntley was on site to take most of these fab photos. Thank you Graham!
We met Rob and Steph three years ago at Simon and Libby’s wedding wedding reception at Bowood House. After such an amazing wedding at the Wiltshire wedding venue, Rob and Steph wanted us to recreate the same party atmosphere and get all the guests involved.
Rob and Steph got married a couple of weeks before in Lake Como, Italy. Wow! The photos from the wedding were amazing! Not everyone could make the wedding in Lake Como so Celtic Manor golf club was the venue chosen for the UK wedding party. Continue reading
Christine first came to see the band with my Uncle Robert in 2010 on their first date at The Coppid Beech Hotel in Bracknell. After a happy first date and a further five years together with my ‘Uncle Rob’, he sadly passed away in 2015 with cancer. Uncle Rob was an amazing man and we all miss him so much. Despite my Uncle’s passing, Christine has remained part of the family and been a huge support. Along with her family and friends she has continued to follow the band and has been to shows of ours all around the country.
Following the success of last years show at Eastbourne Bandstand we were really looking forward to returning this year. We had been working on the show to make sure it was even better than our debut show in 2016. We had some new costumes, new songs all in the spirit of the greatest decade of music, the 1960s. We were luckily enough to joined by Graham Huntley who took all these fantastic photos.
Last year we lucky enough to perform at Matt and Laura’s wedding at Deer Park Country House. Little did we know but Dave and Jen were in attendance looking for a wedding band of their own. They got in touch and we were delighted to booked for their big day at a very well known venue, famous for its amazing home made food. Harriet and I met with the lovely couple a few months later in Lancashire and we had a fantastic time together discussing the wedding at River Cottage. We were very excited as we’d seen the TV program and heard so many good things. Dave and Jen had generously included us in the wedding breakfast! Wow, it was going to be very special treat!
