Sounds of the 70s show
Yesterday was so fantastic, Our 1960’s show went down so well, we were exhausted. We stayed at a B&B close to the venue, which Kevin has kindly arranged for us. As we weren’t far from my parents in Lancashire, before we set up for our Sounds of the 70s show, we decided to meet up and have a day out with the Lowthers at Blackpool Pleasure Beach.
We had a lovely day in the sunshine going on rides, and hanging out with my family. It also happened to be my Mums birthday, so I was really pleased that I was able to celebrate the day with her.
After a fun filled day at the Pleasure Beach, we came back to Blackpool Tower to get ready for our ‘Sounds of the Seventies’ show.
Our first ‘Sounds of the Seventies’ show as The Zoots went down really well! We started the show with ‘We will Rock you’ and went out in to the crowd. It was an awesome set with fab songs from the 1970s; Sexy Thing by Hot Chocolate saw an impromptu strip tease, fortunately there are no photos! Ballroom Blitz by Sweet, Alright Now by Free and Hot Love by TREX all went down really well.
Sounds of the 80s show
We had a very quick break and were back on with our 80s show! It was very energetic with Footloose, Baggy Trousers, Walking on Sunshine with Michael Jackson medley of Bad, Billy Jean and Beat it. Ben sang 500 miles which went down a storm! The crowd were amazing, a large section of the audience were also dressed like us in ‘School of Rock’ outfits! It was so much fun! Wish we could have bottled the amazing atmosphere!
Here’s a little video of the evening:
Thank you so much for 41 Club for choosing The Zoots to be their band for the event. Thank you so much to the team at The West Coast group for being so friendly, lovely and helpful. We really hope we get to work with these guys again in the future. Thank you so much to the team at Blackpool Tower for having us, especially Jade who was so wonderful and helpful during our time there. So much love for lead guitarist Ben, Bass player Tommy and drummer Simon Small too. Love working with these guys.
Lots of love from,
